Trumpauto began as fairly simple software, commissioned by one particular repair workshop. Building it meant talking to all sorts of people involved in vehicle repair and maintenance, and it quickly became clear that no modern solution existed that made life simpler both for the workshop itself and for its customers.

First of all, software for a repair workshop is hardly new — it has been built on various technologies before. But the emphasis belongs on the word ‘before,’ because the longer ago one of these programs was created, the older its underlying technology is likely to be. You might reasonably ask what difference the age of the technology makes, as long as everything works. In some ways, none.
